Where do you currently work, how long have you been there, what do you do
I work at Edelman Public Relations and I've been here for about 3 years. I work as an account executive dealing with multiple clients and assisting with issues management, crisis monitoring, digital analytics and media relations.

Prior to that?
I began at Edelman as an intern straight out of college at Chico State. At Chico, I helped edit for our school newspaper, The Orion and interned as part of the student-run public relations agency, Tehama Group Communications.

What is your educational background?
I received a bachelor’s degree in journalism with an option in public relations from CSU, Chico.

What is the best part of your job?
There is never a dull day in public relations. You always have to expect the unexpected. I also enjoy how much I get to continue learning about random topics and meet interesting people. If a client works in the food industry, I might find myself reading about organic farming all day or maybe I’ll spend a day at a health conference for another client.

What do you love about living here?
Sacramento has the perks of being a city, but also the joys of small town feel. I love everything there is to do and how you can have a weekend getaway by driving less than 2 hours in any direction. Plus, my family is all nearby, which I value so much!

What is one thing that might surprise people about you?
I love to travel and I studied abroad in Italy for six months in college. I may seem reserved at first glance, but I love a good adventure!

When you aren't in the office where can we find you?
Everywhere!  I might be spending time with my two new nephews, paddle boarding at the lake, hiking a nearby trail, enjoying a baseball game or simply reading a good book at home.
