Community and Government Relations Manager, Kaiser Permanente

Appointments Chair

Sacramento is where my heart is. Born and raised in one of the most diverse cities in the country, I'm proud to call Sacramento my home. It's time the Sacramento region embraced its many attributes including the influence of the young professional. Cheers to EDGE as it provides a platform and a voice for emerging and established young leaders to take this region to the next level as well as celebrate our successes.
I’ve worked in local government for more than 17 years – 7 of those years in the health care arena – and served as Executive Director of Cover the Kids (now Sacramento Covered) and Healthy Kids, Healthy Future, a regional non-profit serving Colusa, El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento and Yuba counties. I’ve had the opportunity to provide leadership to a multitude of statewide organizations and agencies to address system changes within children’s healthcare. At Kaiser Permanente, I’m responsible for fostering a strong governmental, political and community network in the greater Sacramento area. I currently serve on the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce, City Year, and College Track Board of Directors, and am proud to be a part of the Metro Chamber’s Leadership Sacramento Class of 2012. I was fortunate enough to be recognized as one of the honorees for Sacramento Business Journal's 40 Under 40 for 2016.

At the core, I’m all about family, community and equality. Dr. Seuss says it best, “Unless someone like you cares a whole lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.”
