In the Mix :: Exhibit S – EDGEclusive Show Preview and “Start Your Collection” Campaign!

Please join us in November for an In the Mix like nothing you have seen before! Sacramento’s newest, and most talked about gallery, Exhibit S, will be exclusively opening their doors to EDGErs for a special preview of their November show.  This show has not been seen by the public and you will be the first to see the show.

In addition, Exhibit S will be hosting a special exhibition in the retail section entitled "Begin your Collection" featuring $100 and $200 works made by local artists.  Artists will be on hand to demonstrate processes and engage with EDGErs. Whether you are an avid collector or just starting out, this night will allow you to gain a better understanding of what goes into making a one-of-a-kind piece. And since you will be the first to see this show, you will have the first opportunity to buy these amazing pieces!

The event will offer hosted food and drinks from some of our favorite local spots.

Interactive art demonstrations:
Lady Beaver: One of Exhibit S's resident artists, Lady Beaver will be demonstrating woodblock carving and print-making.

Matt Brown: Matt Brown will be setting up an interactive projection installation where participants can become part of the art!

Jeff Musser: The oil and acrylic painter will be working on his latest piece at the event.

ARTIST TALKS:
Artists Maren Conrad and Danny Scheible will be giving two artist talks describing the themes and processes behind their show "Confluential" which opens Thursday the 21st. Talks will begin at 6pm and 7pm

EAT & DRINK DOWNTOWN!
South Restaurant, scheduled to open in early 2014, will be giving Metro Edgers a preview on their modern take on southern cuisine. The following delicious bites will available:
-Petey's Fried Chicken Bites served over Cornbread with Clover Honey Butter
-Chicken and Andouille Sausage Gumbo Pots
-Mini Sweet Potato Pies with Candied Walnuts and Whipped Cream

Yum Yum Yogurt, owned by Jason Yee of Pre-Flite, will be giving edgers a sample of his delicious frozen yogurt.

River City Brewing, located across the plaza from Exhibit S, will have two beers on tap.

LYFT OFF!
Lyft, Sacramento's newest car-sharing company, will be on hand to sign people up for the service and provide credits for any new customers.

In the Mix events occur on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at chic and exciting venues, giving our members plenty of opportunities to expand their network and engage with the region’s top young professionals.

Due to the continuing increase in registration at the In the Mix events, non-member registration is $15, BUT that cost will be deducted from the cost of membership, if you join at the event. Or join now and avoid the hassle at the door!
