Immersion Day 2018: Housing on the EDGE

Attention all YP's: Something major is happening and we want all of you to get involved.

Immersion Day, formerly known as Issue Immersion Day, is one of Metro EDGE’s biggest regional advocacy events. As the name suggests, this is a day where EDGErs immerse themselves in a particular regional topic and get to hear from key executives from the industry or initiative, visiting important sites related to the theme for a hands-on understanding of the topic. This year, the event will be focused on housing.

Housing On The EDGE will cover a complex issue that’s creating a lot of buzz in the Sacramento region. We will dive deep into the housing climate in California, specifically in our region. Local industry leaders will speak to this topic, including creating dialogue around important issues like subsidized housing, rent control, and housing insecurity. On this day, we will also take you on exclusive site visits to existing and upcoming developments in town.

As Sacramento continues to grow and thrive, it's more important than ever to be informed. From being marketed as America’s Farm to Fork capital, to the most recent worldwide publicity thanks to Lady Bird, Sacramento has been put on the map in a major way. Which begs the question: What does that mean for those who actually live here?

This dramatic growth affects us all, and we're excited to get our hands dirty discussing this important young professional issue. Let’s get in-the-know and understand what’s going on and why it’s happening. Join fellow EDGER’s in sparking a conversation, meeting new people who are passionate about our Capitol region, and engaging in solutions. Come out and join us for this exclusive, EDGE-member only event!

Following Immersion Day will be an In The Mix event at The Mix Downtown. All existing, new, and potential EDGE YP’s are encouraged to take it to the next level and keep the Housing On The EDGE conversation going over food and beverage.
