Fruit Ridge Community Collaborative Volunteering

Come fuel your passion to give back by volunteering to support the Fruit Ridge Community Collaborative (FRCC) in South Oak Park on Saturday, February 27th from 9am-12pm!

Masks will be required and social distancing practices will be in place. If the weather holds we can get our volunteer on outside. If not, FRCC has over 46,000 sq feet of space so there’s plenty of room to spread out! Read more about FRCC below, or wear some clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and your closed-toe shoes and join us on February 27th!

About FRCC:

Fruit Ridge Community Collaborative (FRCC) is a neighborhood hub providing children and families a safe place to learn and play. FRCC is located in South Oak Park, within the Sacramento Promise Zone, one of the 22 federally recognized high poverty communities. Established at the former Fruit Ridge Elementary School, FRCC houses 23 nonprofit organizations and serves as a meeting place for dozens more. Organizations that serve diverse populations and offer a wide-range of critical support programs that address health and economic disparities. When you volunteer for FRCC, you are not just helping the 23 nonprofits that are tenants of FRCC, you are also supporting the growing number of nonprofits that utilize the space for events and meetings.

So what will you be helping with?!

If the weather holds, outside needs landscaping support and power washing. Due to the time of year though we will likely be volunteering inside. Inside help includes priming classrooms, painting a hallway, and assembling/labeling/organizing boxes in a downstairs supply room. The facility is very large so individuals will be spaced out for each activity.

*Please note that this event will be maxing out at 25 participants so register today!
