Day on the EDGE :: Next Move Donation Center

Looking to make an even bigger impact?

Join EDGE’s volunteer group as we make a difference in our community by helping Next Move sort out their Donation Center. The volunteer project will include sorting, shelving, hanging donations and general clean up.

Homelessness is an issue that is increasingly prevalent in the Sacramento region. In an effort to alleviate this and raise awareness among the young professional community, EDGE is focusing its philanthropic and regional advocacy efforts on a 2016 partnership with Next Move. Next Move’s mission is to help get more individuals and families with children off the streets, back to work, and back home. Next Move’s services include: programs for temporary shelter and permanent supportive housing, providing individual success plans, self-sufficiency workshops on living skills, parenting, budgeting, housing, health and mental health care, housing relocation assistance, employment readiness and community support services.

Please register by Monday, February 22 by noon.

Make sure to wear close-toed shoes and clothing you can easily move around in. Water and a light snack are suggested.
