Day On the EDGE

Day on the EDGE is a volunteer opportunity to engage our amazing EDGErs on September 6th-7th. The event is with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento who is hosting, “Rock the Block” blitz build event in South Oak Park.

  • 7:30 am – 3:30 pm both days (Saturday’s build will end a little early at 1:00 pm for a BBQ and Community Fair Celebration)
  • While Rock the Block is 2 days, EDGErs can sign up for a singular shift on either day. There are several different shifts and roles available
  • Event location home base: Fruitridge Community Collaborative – 4625 44th St, Sacramento, CA 95820
  • No experience necessary, Habitat provides all tools and training. Also provided are an event t-shirt, light breakfast, coffee, lunch, water, and snacks throughout the build day
  • EDGErs are welcome to bring a friend

Rock the Block is a large scale 2-day neighborhood revitalization blitz build event that will bring together +300 volunteers and dozens of organizations to support 26 projects, including 24 home repairs for low-income homeowners and 2 community projects at the Fruit Ridge Collaborative. As you may know, Rock the Block started in 2018 with the support of Leadership Sacramento and is part of Habitat's five-year plan to build hope, homes, and community block by block in South Oak Park.

We had a blast last year and we hope you’ll join us for round 2!
