The Metro EDGE Young Professional of the Year Award recognizes a member of Metro EDGE who has made exceptional and sustained contributions to the Sacramento region and business community.

Meet the 2017 Metro EDGE Young Professional of the Year:

Jennifer Ablog, Community and Government Relations Manager, Kaiser Permanente

Jennifer Ablog works for Kaiser Permanente as the Community and Government Relations Manager. Ablog is responsible for fostering a strong governmental, political, & community network in the greater Sacramento area.

Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, Ablog was Executive Director of Cover the Kids and Healthy Kids, Healthy Future, a regional nonprofit serving Colusa, El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, and Yuba counties. Jennifer began her career working in local government more than 17 years ago, and has supported and provided leadership for a multitude of statewide organizations and agencies to address system changes within children’s healthcare.

Ablog currently serves on the City Year and College Track Board of Directors, and previously was a part of My Sister’s House, Elk Grove Chamber, and Metro EDGE’s Leadership Council. She is the 2017 and 2018 chair of the Sacramento Region’s Internal Study Mission’s planning committee, and proud alumni of Metro Chamber’s Leadership Sacramento Class of 2012. Ablog was also recognized as an honoree of Sacramento Business Journal's 40 Under 40 in 2016.
