The Metro EDGE Young Professional of the Year Award recognizes a member of Metro EDGE who has made exceptional and sustained contributions to the Sacramento region and business community.

Meet the 2014 Metro EDGE Young Professional of the Year:

Erica Taylor, VP of Communications and Community Relations, Five Star Bank

 

Erica TaylorAs a founding member of Metro EDGE, Erica has actively engaged in the program and has served in a variety of leadership roles, including the 2012 Communications Committee Chair and the 2013 Sponsorships Committee Chair.

In 2014, Erica served as the Inaugural Chair for EMERGE, the state’s first summit initiating a conversation about the impact of young leaders in our communities created for and by young professionals. Spearheaded by Metro EDGE, in its first year, EMERGE proved to be an overwhelming success with more than 600 attendees.

As Vice President of Communications and Community Relations for Five Star Bank, Erica has demonstrated not only strong leadership within her company, but also in the Sacramento community. In 2012, Erica was recognized as one of the Sacramento Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 and in 2013 graduated from the Leadership Sacramento program. Recently terming off of the Metro EDGE Leadership Council, Erica also currently serves on the board of directors for NextEd, Los Rios Foundation, SRBX Next, and the Sacramento Unified Education Foundation.
