We are seeking a Technical Training and Support Team Lead to join the Foundation in its mission of benefitting, supporting, and enhancing the California Community Colleges—the largest and most diverse system of higher education in the nation.

What You’ll Do

The Foundation for California Community Colleges is seeking an individual to join our Success Center team who has experience, dedication and motivation to support the Vision for Success, our Center’s goals and activities, and an inclination toward building long term relationships across our organization, the Chancellor’s Office and the system of 116 California Community Colleges. Our Center’s role is to support the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office and Foundation in implementing the Vision for Success. This work is engaging, fast paced, and ever evolving. Our team is committed, goal oriented and future focused. This position will be charged primarily with ensuring that technical training for all system professionals to use the Vision Resource Center (VRC)—a new learning management system—is available statewide and strategizing on how to increase and maintain user support. This training and support for accessing virtual professional development supports Guided Pathways implementation across the whole system of community colleges.

What you bring

  • Lead the Technical Training and Support team to develop annual and quarterly goals and epics to serve user satisfaction and system performance.
  • Lead the development and deployment of a system of support for all local system administrators (approximately 500 individuals)
  • Work with team of technical support specialists to teach the support system and decrease the number and time to service all support tickets in system
  • Be product owner for Technical Training and Support epics
  • Collaborate with VRC leadership to identify and plan for changes needed to ensure the highest levels of support for the platform across the system of all 116 colleges and 73 districts of the CCC
  • Responsible for collaboration across the VRC team to ensure that any changes to the platform are understood, tested and deployed for the greatest benefit to users
  • Responsible for collaborating the Engagement Team to plan, collect and analyze user experience feedback data and recommend improvements
  • Responsible for ensuring new Cornerstone functionality is deployed throughout the system with integrity and support for local administrators

  • Has demonstrated skill in deploying a learning management system
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote setting
  • Has general knowledge of the California community colleges and higher education issues
  • Capable of having work be informed by a system view of the California community colleges
  • Must be a self-starter, quick learner, highly motivated and able to work on a fast-paced team
  • Must be a good collaborator, able to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with highly diverse stakeholders across a number of involved systems and up and down chains of command
  • Is an excellent listener, able to synthesize and analyze various and disparate opinions and ideas
  • Must demonstrate detail orientation
  • Ability to plan sprint work collaboratively and execute with the highest level of quality

  • Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, the California Community College system and the Foundation’s mission.
