The team works with every market in the company (Corporate, Healthcare, Civic and Technology) to develop strategic initiatives, client action plans, and interview strategies and materials.

This position requires heavy teamwork and collaboration with the Sales and Marketing Director, key sales team members in each market sector. This individual will play a key role in ensuring that all Western Contract marketing materials, proposals, and interview presentations are executed with a high level of quality, and tailored to specific client requirements, while maintaining the integrity of the Western Contract brand. We offer a robust bonus plan based on individual and company performance, flexible hours including work-from-home options.

As the Sales and Marketing Assistant, you will...

  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales and Marketing, other Sales/Marketing staff, and key sales/account management team members to execute the daily activities of the sales and marketing crew as it relates to customer deliverables.
  • Play a critical role in company-wide marketing efforts, working with key company members to manage the development of project pursuit proposals, interview presentations, and other marketing collateral.
  • Ensure that all marketing materials, proposals, and presentations are executed with a high level of quality, and tailored to specific client requirements, while maintaining the integrity of the Western Contract brand.
  • Coordinate marketing and communications efforts, such as award submissions, social media campaigns, meeting/event planning and project photography, under the guidance of the Sales and Marketing Director.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing Director on strategic marketing initiatives to accomplish company goals, manage Haworth Best in Class efforts, coordinate vendor presentations, ensure MRL is updated and accurate at all times.
  • Ensure that marketing materials and key metrics are accurate and updated.
  • Be organized, creative, and solutions oriented.
  • Be proactive in completing work accurately while meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills, often with concurrent projects and under tight deadlines.
  • Provide quality control and “Company first” support on all marketing efforts.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in working with a variety of team members across the Company, including in-person and virtually.
  • Attend industry events as required and build relationships with consultants and industry partners.
  • Assist Company leadership with other duties and initiatives as assigned.
  • Overtime may be required.

Sales Assistant Basic Function:

  • Is responsible for the entire sales order fulfillment process, providing support to sales personnel, and accurate and timely service to customers. Proposal development, product and pricing research, order management, and factory interface.

Specific Sales Support Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assists sales/project personnel in pricing, product research and technical order information (C.O.M. requirements, custom requirements, sample ordering, etc.)
  • Assists sales with the preparation of the quotation; reviews quote and prints it for sales presentation to customer
  • Reviews and proofs order for basic information (ship to, bill to, contract number, order specifications preparation etc.), accuracy and completeness

Sales/Marketing Assistant Qualifications – The Must-Haves (Required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field or commensurate experience
  • 1-3 years experience in marketing or sales support
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, including PowerPoint
  • Intermediate knowledge of Adobe InDesign

Sales/Marketing Assistant Qualifications – The Like-to-Haves (Not Required)

  • Construction, Architectural and Furniture Industry experience
