REPORTS TO: CalAsian Chamber Foundation Director
SALARY RANGE: $50,000 - $75,000; Commensurate with Experience
FLSA STATUS: Exempt with full benefits

The CalAsian Chamber Foundation was formed in 2010 to strengthen California’s underserved and diverse communities through inclusive economic development. Our programs fall into four
key areas: leadership, workforce development, civic engagement, and technical assistance for small businesses. We understand that the key to building sustainable communities is to ensure
equitable and inclusive economic opportunities for all.


The Program Manager oversees and manages the day-to-day operations of the Foundation. This position supports the Director and program directors in the administration of Foundation
programs and events, preparing quarterly reports to track progress and measure community impact, proactively identify funding opportunities, provide support for Board and committee
meetings, and oversee communications and brand strategy.


Program Coordination, Event Planning, and Marketing (25%)

• Manage the outreach, marketing, and communication of all activity to ensure program/event success
• Assist with the development and implementation of all existing and new programs and events
• Oversee the development and management of content for the website and social media platforms
• Coordinate with MARCOM and external vendors as needed to produce marketing collateral
• Manage all logistics for workshops/events and any convenings

Fundraising and Financial Responsibilities (25%)

• Develop and foster relationships with current and potential funders
• Identify and seek potential funding opportunities
• Ensure overall budget and individual program/event goals are met; expected to meet or exceed revenue for all activity
• Closely monitor and track all budget line items
• Assist in writing grant/sponsorship proposals and oversee grant/sponsorship administration

General & Administrative (25%)

• Communicate the mission and program goals to internal and external stakeholders
• Provide support for the quarterly Board of Directors meetings and activities

o Scheduling and logistics

o Coordination of meeting agendas, meeting packets and minutes

• Provide input and support for updates and reports to leadership
• Executes assignments as directed by the Director

Measurement of Community Impact (25%)

• Develop a strategy to assess Foundation performance and outcomes of programs

o Develop individual metrics for each program

• Review and manage funding obligations and deliverables
• Research initiatives and trends related to Foundation program areas
• Maintain and build partnerships with key community-based organizations



Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, public relations preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent organization skills with experience in project management, planning, and implementing events/activities
• Outstanding attention to detail and results oriented
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills
• Flexible, creative, and able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence


• Minimum of 3 years’ work-related experience in business development, philanthropy, nonprofit and project management and or related experience
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in marketing activities, social media and event planning
• Experience with designing marketing materials for events and services highly desired
• Proven track record of building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite products and database management
