As a transplant Sacramenton and a local Drexel University administrator, I love this region and all it’s six counties and twenty-two cities. It’s a great time to be a young professional in region. The Sacramento region is quickly becoming the think-tank/incubator of new and innovative ideas and members of Metro Edge are at the forefront of this regional movement. Much like my hometown of Portland, Oregon; Sacramento is actively investing in its arts, food, entertainment and educational institutions, which are key indicators in an advancing and thriving community. A Nor Cal native, I joined Metro Edge in 2011 to meet new people, develop professional skills and increase my awareness of all the great things Sacramento has to offer. I was involved with the Regional Action Committee for three years before moving in to the cochair seat. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri, Columbia, I became a freelance writer and editor, reporting from England, India and the good ‘ol US of A.
